Monday 1st May:
Highgrove on the High Street – Working with community groups and schools, “Highgrove on the High Street” will create a display that celebrates His Majesty’s love of gardening and the environment, in our town centre. This will take place from 1st – 8th May.
Labyrinth Challenge – The Labyrinth Challenge is returning to Trowbridge on 30th April – 1st May, 1000ft inflatable obstacle course will be at Clarendon Academy. Suitable for everyone. From 10am to 6pm. Booking required.
Flower shower and Bunting – The Women’s Shed will be covering out town in bunting, as well as crocheted and knitted flowers, golden crowns and cupcakes. Join them at the Holy Trinity Church, Stallard Street Weekly 10am – 12:30pm. No experience required, materials supplied.
Window Wanderland Crown Trial – To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III we want to dress our town and light up our windows and buildings in celebration! We are encouraging residents and businesses of Trowbridge to decorate their windows in a Royally Regal theme! Special wooden Crowns from Clarendon Academy are available to decorate, contact in**@tr********.uk to get one. Running from 1st May – 8th May. Register your windows!
Tuesday 2nd:
St James’ Church, Service of Celebration – Will have a Royal theme to their weekly floral arrangements that will reflect this special occasion and would welcome you to visit.
Thursday 4th:
Coronation Tea Dance – Live Music from David Huxford and a lovely tea provided for all ages. 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Trowbridge Town Hall. £6 per Ticket.
Kings Cup Primary School Tennis Festival (Y3) – Local Schools are invited to bring their budding young sports stars along to a fun, friendly and inclusive short tennis festival. Rockets at the ready! At Trowbridge Park Tennis Courts from 9:00am – 2:30pm. Email in**@ac**************.uk
Friday 5th:
Not on the Street Party – Cream tea with a vintage theme to celebrate King Charles III’s Coronation. At Trowbridge Museum from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Right Royal Rhyme Time – Pre School fun, songs and stories for toddlers and pre schoolers with our Royal Trowbridge Ted at Trowbridge Library from 11am. No booking required and free entry.
Childrens’ Crowns Parade the Parade of Kings and Queens – The children of Trowbridge have been asked to create a beautiful crown, fit for the finest Royal and to take part in a parade through the town centre to Trowbridge Park on Friday 5th May. The parade will start on Fore Street and finish in the park where there will be Active Trowbridge inflatables to add to the fun along with the chance to sit as a school and enjoy a picnic lunch. Royal Theme Fancy Dress!
Saturday 6th:
Coronation Crown Community Art Workshop – An artist led willow and tissue workshop to construct a giant Roya crown to be displayed with internal lights. This will be a community drop in art event with residents of Trowbridge to contribute. Taking place at Trowbridge Park 29th April – 6th May from 11am to 3pm. Just turn up!
The Civic, Trowbridge Live Showing – The Civic, Trowbridge will be decorated for the occasion and will be streaming the Coronation live. Complimentary activities for the whole family to join in the celebrations.

Parade House – The house will be decorated and there will be a live streaming of the Coronation in the VIP cinema room, cream tea & exhibition in the Ballroom plus a Royal Coach and horse for photos at the front of the house. From 10am – 4pm.
St James’ Church – A church bell Peal attempt, 3 hours of bell ringing to mark The Kings’s Coronation at 3pm.
Free Face Painting – The Shires Shopping Centre are providing free face painting from 11am – 3pm.
Sunday 7th:
St James’ Church – Are having a service of celebration on Sunday 7th May at 10:45am, and will be followed by a celebration cake. Anyone is most welcome to join them at both the service and to share in the cake afterwards.
Coronation Park Yoga – Join us for our free coronation special Park Yoga in Trowbridge Park at 9:30 – 10:30am. Free for all ages and abilities to improve your wellbeing while being outdoors. Please join us in red, white and blue, or coronation fancy dress.
Monday 8th:
The Trowbridge “Coronation” 5K – Celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III by running a certified accurate Five Kilometre course around the town and receive a special coronation medal when you cross the finish line. Registration at The Civic Centre, Trowbridge Park at 11am.
