Trowbridge Town Council would like to invite children in Trowbridge to join us for a ‘Parade of Kings and Queens’. We would like all children to create a beautiful crown – fit for the finest royal and wear it to take part in a parade through the town Centre to Trowbridge Park on Friday 5th May at 11.00 am to 1.00pm. The parade will start in Fore Street and finish in the park where there will be Active Trowbridge inflatables to add to the fun along with the chance to sit together and enjoy a picnic lunch.
Crowns can be as simple or as extravagant as you like – the challenge is to get as many children involved as possible to join us for a community celebration on 5th May. As well as handcrafted crowns, royal themed fancy dress or red, white and blue clothing would be welcomed! We would love for the parade to be a real spectacle for the town to enjoy!
To take part in this event please confirm attendance to ev****@tr********.uk. Deadline is the 3rd March.
Further information will follow in due course including full risk assessments for the event. Please note, limited toilet facilities (9 female and 10 male) will be available in the Civic Centre and town center (Castle Place) but no additional facilities will be available in the park. There will be plenty of stewards to ensure everyone is safe and can enjoy a public event.
We really hope you join us for a wonderful celebration.
