Active Trowbridge is a service offered by Trowbridge Town Council, providing sports coaching, education, and 1-2-1 coaching for children. They offer pre-school and after-school sports clubs for 16 months to 16 years, and holiday activities for children aged between 4 and 14 years.
The Active Festival held every summer in Trowbridge Park draws in over 10,000 visitors to this one-day free event. The park is filled with inflatables and experiences for children. Held in mid-July, it’s definitely worth taking a look at the What’s On calendar to check if the date coincides with your stay in Trowbridge.
Active Trowbridge also provide free summer activities throughout the holidays in and around the town centre with their sports roadshows. Bring a picnic and let the children burn off their energy with games, inflatables and sports.
You can also enjoy our outdoor gym situated around Trowbridge Park. This is free to use and each section loops to create a 1km trail around the park. For those adults who are that little bit older, Active hosts sessions of ‘walking’ football or netball, providing exercise at a gentler pace, in a friendly, get-to-know-you environment.
If you’re a keen tennis, basketball, netball or football player or have never played before, our multi-sport courts and tennis courts are available to hire at a small cost. They are a fantastic space to play badminton or volleyball. Just remember to bring your kit including your racquets!
