For a great couple of hours out with the family, and a ‘walk on the wild side’, why not visit Biss Meadows Country Park, just on the edge of Trowbridge’s town park. On an existing flood plain, the park is home to all kinds of insects and birds, and you may even be lucky enough to catch sight of a heron, or a brightly-coloured kingfisher! Throughout the seasons, it’s an ever-changing picture of nature – and Trowbridge’s best-kept secret . . .
For even more nature-based fun, you can also pick up a copy of Trowbridge Ted’s Off The Beaten Track Nature Trail, which takes in Biss Meadows (also, don’t forget to buy a bag of duck food for just 50p from the Information Centre – the ducks will really appreciate it!).

Activities – bats – bird watching.
