Town Hall Arts’ mission is to provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities to be inspired by arts, culture and heritage learning from a building at the heart of its community. Trowbridge Town Hall is a hub for the development of artistic activity throughout the community area and a catalyst for change in the County Town of Wiltshire, playing a vital role in redefining Trowbridge as a cultural destination.
Trowbridge Town Hall is alive with stunning professional performances and exhibitions by companies and artists from across the world. Town Hall Arts hosts a programme of learning delivered by experts in their fields as well as a wealth of community group activities. This aspirational and diverse offer will ensure the Town Hall is a source of pride for the many people who engage with it. It is led by a team of passionate professionals and volunteers whose mission is to welcome, connect and enthuse all who engage with the Town Hall Arts and its work out in the community.
The beautiful historic building makes a wonderful setting for all kinds of events, with artists’ studios and rooms available to hire for parties, functions and meetings. With the intimate cafe and bar offering available, people are encouraged to spend time socialising in our foyer or exploring our gallery, artists’ shop and spaces.
We believe that lives will be changed, horizons will widen and a community will be made strong, with creativity at its heart.
The Town Hall is also home to a wonderful shop, selling works by local artists, as well as stocking a selection of fine books, and We Are Undressed, Trowbridge’s first plastic-free shop, which sells a wide range of dried foodstuffs and cooking ingredients – just bring your own containers! Also, the building is where you’ll find the Free Range Cafe, offering a fantastic menu of drinks, meals and snacks – the ideal spot to recharge your batteries!
