However, amendments to the Exceptions Order in 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are “protected”. These are not subject to disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can found on the Ministry of Justice website.

 Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure and Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed.

 

Finance Assistant

Salary:                             £21,968 – £23,194 per annum pro rata 

NJC Scale Point:         6 – 9 

Hours of work:           22.5 hours per week  

                                  (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – Work pattern to be agreed with Line                                              Manager)

Status:                            Permanent 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is willing to embrace a variety of financial duties. Working closely with the finance team, the successful candidate will be expected to provide an administrative financial service to support the Council’s finance service delivery. 

The main purpose of the role is to: 

Support the Senior Finance Officer and finance team, assisting them to provide an efficient, organised, and accurate finance service for the whole of the Council.

Finance Officer

Salary:                             £25,409 – £26,845 per annum, pro rata   

NJC Scale Point:         14 – 17 

Hours of work:           20 hours per week (Tuesday – Friday, 5 hours per day, pattern to be                                                         negotiated) 

 Status:                           Permanent 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is willing to embrace a broad range of financial duties. The ideal candidate will be highly organised with strong administrative and IT skills. They will be self-motivated, able to work independently on concurrent tasks and be able to meet regular deadlines. 

The main purpose of the role is to:  

  • To provide support to the Head of Resources and the Senior Finance Officer to provide proactive and accurate accountancy service for the whole of the Council and its suppliers and customers and to ensure the efficient and effective financial management of the Council by providing relevant and timely financial data 
  • To undertake numerous roles pertaining to the finance function including daily processing of sales invoicing, creditor payments, accounting for VAT, banking, and facilitating the finance team and assist in the delivery of monthly and/or quarterly reports and completion of the annual statement of accounts

Casual Soccer Schools Coach

Casual contract during the summer holiday period with the possibility of term time hours

£10.62 per hour (Hours as required)

Active Trowbridge is looking for dynamic individuals with either a Level one or Two FA Coaching Qualification to work on a casual basis as Soccer Schools Coaches.

The main purpose of the role is to:

Operate a ‘player-centred’ approach that delivers coaching so that every player can learn and develop new skills. You will plan inclusive and developmental sessions, which are fun and engaging alongside developing their underpinning football knowledge.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about grassroot football and highly motivated with the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage young people through sport.

Casual Bar & Venues Staff
